Duke's is one of our favorite places to go when we're in Malibu. Their La Jolla location is just as amazing! Grab a daiquiri, some coconut shrimp, and enjoy the amazing ocean views.
Delicious tacos, burritos, and churros! Everything is made to order with tortillas made fresh in-house, all day, everyday.
We are big tiki nerds, and if you're looking to get into the aloha spirit, look no further than the Grass Skirt. This oasis is a short drive south of our venue in Pacific Beach. Try the Bird of Paradise, the Swingin' Saturn, and rate their Tropical Tony's Mai Tai while enjoying some plates and pupus!
Here is your neighborhood pub while you're staying in La Jolla. It's open until 2am, so this is most likely where we'll get the after-party going once the reception ends!
Book a kayaking adventure! In a single 90 minute tour you will experience southern California's surf culture, observe dozens of species of marine animals, and visit 5 different marine environments. Go see the sea lions, leopard sharks, dolphins, pelicans, cormorants... and of course, the caves! No experience required.
Take in some contemporary art! MCASD provides an unprecedented variety of exhibition spaces, showcasing an internationally recognized collection and a dynamic schedule of exhibitions. Take in the fabulous ocean view from the Edwards Garden Gallery, or enjoy lunch on the patio at the Museum Cafe.
Go on a hike! Torrey Pines is a gorgeous place to enjoy the natural beauty of coastal southern California. 8 miles north of the wedding venue and downtown La Jolla, Torrey Pines also has an amazing beach.
La Jolla Cove is a very small beach, tucked between sandstone cliffs. Because of its extraordinary beauty, La Jolla Cove is one of the most photographed beaches in Southern California. Sea lions love to lay out here, so you'll most likely see quite a few - just make sure not to get too close!
